Allegheny Inn Concierge Robert Miles with Pittsburgh Wedding Concierge Tonya Edinger

Nestled in the heart of the Deutschtown area of Pittsburgh’s North Side is the quaint Bed and Breakfast of The Allegheny Inn. Each guest has their own personal concierge and since I am your Pittsburgh Wedding Concierge, this personal touch struck just the right note for me!

The #DynamicWeddingDuo recently spent the night at The Allegheny Inn in the showcase Crystal Suite and it delivered all that its name implies.

We entered the parlor from the front door located at 1010 Cedar Ave, Pittsburgh 15202 which was illuminated with gas lights and the iconic German flag. Willkommen bei Deutschtown it beckoned to us!

The parlor also has one of the most unique chess sets you will ever see. Steel City Chess showcases the beautiful architecture of the city of Pittsburgh using its most prominent buildings as the pieces for the set. The quality and detail are absolutely amazing.

First it would be PERFECT for a wedding, you can continue entertaining guests in the parlor, which is a double parlor very unique for the city, like the days of old when couples had weddings in their homes. You would also receive the royal treatment from 2 expert concierges. The rooms are like private retreats each with their own bath rooms. Holds up to 60 guests.

It is that unique wedding venue that no one else has. You will be the envy of everyone around with this venue.

Private Entertaining Area in Pittsburgh

Upon the warm welcome we received by the concierge Robert we were offered refreshments and an exciting tour back in time. What an amazing adventure, and if you know me you know I LOVE adventure!

Second is the adventure, there are so many nooks and crannies to explore, and Robert is a wealth of knowledge and attentive to every detail. He manicures beautiful orchids in the Crystal Room as well as a delicate Rose of Sharon bush called “blowing in the wind”. Everything sparkled and was immaculately clean! My favorite spot in the room was the book nook called The Park View. You could enjoy your favorite novel and feel like you were in the park next door. I am an avid reader so I greatly appreciated the use of books as decorations throughout the Inn.

Lastly, the courtyard. Relax and kick up your heels while the traffic of the city is drowned out by the fascinating water feature. Host a party or networking event at the inn and invite a food truck to stop by and then a select few can spend the night.

The Allegheny Inn features 5 sleeping rooms w baths, 9 fireplaces, 40 windows, 43 doors, 15 rooms total, housekeeper and maids.

Sorry but the Inn is not haunted; it’s a happy place, and you feel that in each room you enter.
Looking to the future, we can’t wait to return as they are working on the rathskeller which means beer hall in the basement. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for a live interview at the speakeasy!
